Merge Tales is a fun casual game that uses the central mechanic of merging. In this case, you experience the story of impossible love between an elf and a human, in love and with a child. However, like all impossible love stories, the lovers are separated by an evil king who locks up their child and hides the babies in the garden. Your goal: help the fairies search the garden and give life back to the magic creatures who, through a lack of affection, have become lethargic.

The way Merge Tales works is as follows: you start by recovering a small parcel of land that has been taken and cursed by a wicked witch. In this area are magical creatures' eggs that have been trapped and, due to the curse, are slowly dying. However, thanks to your restoration of the area, you can bring life back to the eggs and, by merging them, get them to hatch to give you a new creature that will help you create more magic energy to revive the rest of the land.

To get revitalizing energy to keep freeing the land of the curse, you need flowers that create this energy. To create those flowers, you need to merge three or more wooden logs to create a shrub. Three or more shrubs will become a flower bud. Three or more buds will create a flower that makes little energy spheres, and three or more of those flowers will give you a large flower, able to generate even more energy. The creatures that you free will help you to gather the energy while you take care of merging pieces and deciding where you want to take the revitalizing energy.
